Kristy Schroeder

kristypic-webNewcomer, Kristy Schroeder joins Dr. Glen Albaugh in Winning the Battle Within. In addition to golf, Schroeder has applied Dr. Albaugh’s teachings to other sports, particularly softball and tennis.  Schroeder has been coaching softball for the past fourteen years, most recently as the head coach at the University of California Santa Barbara.  Schroeder earned Coach of the Year honors in three of her nine seasons as a head coach. Schroeder is well known for turning programs around and led her teams to the NCAA tournament six of the nine years as a head coach. A foundation of those turnarounds was the mental training program she learned and developed under the tutelage of Dr. Albaugh while earning her master’s degree at the University of the Pacific. As an athlete, Schroeder earned All-America accolades and was a four-time Pac-10 shortstop. She was also recognized as the shortstop on the all Pac-10 decade team for the 1990’s after winning national championships with the UCLA Bruins in 1990 and 1992.  In addition, Schroeder is the only woman to have lettered in three sports (softball, soccer and tennis) at UCLA. Kristy is excited to help individuals or teams apply Winning the Battle Within techniques to improve their enjoyment and performance in a variety of sports.
