Scott McCarron Reflects on Reno-Tahoe Open Experience

Scott McCarron has carried the  Winning The Battle Within banner for 15 years, and I know many of you follow his tournament play closely. Here are his introspective reflections on the just completed Reno/Tahoe Open. What he shares are the deep emotions he felt that final day, and a reminder of how incredibly challenging and revealing golf can be.

“Well, Sunday was one of the best days of my life, and one of the worst. I started my final round of the Reno-Tahoe Open with a one-shot lead, in the final group of the day, with a large gallery supporting their tournament host.  Several hours later, I had dropped to 35th, posted the worst score I’ve ever had on Tour, and still had to address the crowd on the 18th hole, during the awards ceremony.”
